GENERAL INFORMATION
(Arranged Alphabetically)

AIRPORTS: Burbank and Ontario Airports are closest to Arcadia/Monrovia areas.  LAX (Los Angeles Intl. Airport) is not as convenient time-or distance-wise, unless you're renting a car.

ALCOHOL:  NO alcoholic beverages are permitted INSIDE the Masonic Center or anywhere ON THE GROUNDS.   Please observe and respect this ruling.

AWARDS:  Top 10 Format, graduating down to Top 5, depending on the number of cats present and competing.

CAGES:  Single cages, 36" wide, 22" deep and 27" high, one door, no divider.  Bring material to cover 3 sides and bottom (and top, if desired.)  NOTE:  If you intend to bring your own show cage(s), you MUST advise us on the Summary Sheet at the time you send in your entries of the number and width of your cage(s) to help us bench properly!  CAGES OVER 36" WIDE WILL PAY FOR GROOM SPACE.

CATALOG:  One free catalog per principal exhibitor, additional ones, if available, $5.00 at the door.

CHECK-IN:  Saturday 7:30 a.m. (Judging starts at 9:00 a.m.)  Sunday, 8:00 a.m. (Judging starts 9:00 a.m.)

CLASSES/ENTRIES: 
KITTENS - All kittens in competition must be at lease 4 calendar months of age, but should not have reached their 8th-month birthday on either day of this weekend.  TICA Show Rules DO permit altered kittens to be shown purebred or HHP.  Kittens under 3 calendar months of age are NOT permitted in the show hall, for sale or otherwise!  Kittens do NOT have to be registered in TICA to be shown, but must be registered to utilize any wins earned at this show for Regional and International Awards.

ADULTS - Championship adults (whole cats/alters) and HHP's must be at least 8 calendar months of age prior to this show, or celebrate their 8th-month birthday on the first day of this show.  Adults need not be registered to be shown if this is their first TICA show, but must be registered to confirm titles and utilize any wins earned before entering the next TICA show.  HHP adults must be altered to be shown.

CLERKS:  Qualified Ring Clerks are sought for each day.  Lunch and $35.00 per clerking day.  If interested, indicate on the Summary Sheet.  DO NOT DEDUCT clerking fee from your entry(s).  Clerks will be paid at the end of each show day.  If accepted, please try to plan on having someone (you trust) run your entry(s) to the rings.

COMPANION CATS:  No charge for legitimate companion cats in the same cage, but owner MUST SEND IN AN ENTRY FORM for the cat.  Companion cats will not be given a separate cage.  Call the Show Manager for permission to enter a companion cat.

CONFIRMATION:  The Entry Clerk may elect to send confirmations of your entry(s) by way of regular mail, or FAX, depending on expediency and whichever method is available to you.  Please indicate FAX numbers on your Summary Sheet

COURTESIES:  Exhibitors are respectfully requested to observe the common courtesies of being a guest in the Masonic Center, and to keep their immediate areas cleaned up, as well as observing the House Rules.  Be a Good Sport!  Courtesy is a mark of good sportsmanship.  Be considerate of others!

*** If you have a cat known to spray ( Male OR Female), please advise the ring clerks before your class comes up so it can be benched in an END cage for ease in cleaning up if necessary. ***

DIRECTIONS TO SHOW HALL:  The Masonic Center is located at 50 W Duarte Rd, Arcadia.  If traveling West or East on the 210 (Foothill) Fwy, exit at Santa Anita Ave., go south and drive less than 2 miles to Duarte Rd.  Turn right and almost immediately turn left  into the parking lot of the Center (Arcadia Public Library is the corner building.)  If traveling East or West on the I-10 (San Bernardino/Santa Monica Fwy) exit Santa Anita Ave., go north to Duarte Rd., turn left then left again into the parking lot.

EARLY BIRD ENTRIES:  Fee(s)  must accompany Early Bird  entries to qualify for Early Bird rates .

ENTRY FEES: Fees payable in US funds only. Make checks payable to San Gabriel Valley CF. All Fees must be paid in advance and are non-refundable, even if the entry is absent. Entries will not be confirmed nor benched without payment. Entry fees must be received and paid by NSF (Non-Sufficient Funds) checks will be subject to a $25.00 Club fee.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: An official entry form or facsimile must be used for each entry and a completed summary sheet and full payment (US Funds Only) must accompany these entry blanks. E-mail and FAX entries will be accepted, but will not be officially entered until full payment is received. If payment is not received within 10 days of E-mail/FAX, entry will become null and void. Checks (US Funds Only) should be made out to: San Gabriel Valley CF. ***NOTE*** THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL $10.00 FEE FOR ANY ENTRY FEES PAID AT THE DOOR.


EXHIBITION ONLY:  Please check with the Show Manager to see if space is available.  If approved, EO cats MUST have a catalog number so an official Entry Form must be submitted.

FOOD (CATS):  Bring your cat's own favorite food.

FOOD (PEOPLE):  We'll have delicious food and beverages from the "Big Kitchen".

FOR SALE ONLY: (F$O) (If space is available) Check with Show Manager.  Cats/Kittens For Sale Only MUST be given catalog numbers, submit an Entry Form for each F$O, whether named or not.  Kittens under 3 months of age ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE SHOW HALL!  Proof of age must be available to the Show Committee.  F$O entries are available only with a regular competition entry. 

GROOMING SPACES:  (If space available)  Limited and payable at the door.  Requests accepted in order of receipt of entry(s).  No vending from grooming spaces allowed.  Groom space is 36" wide - same size as regular cage.

HEALTH RULES:  This is a non-vetted show, but entries must be in good health and up to date on inoculations.  Any obviously ill or pregnant feline, as determined by the Show Committee, must be removed from the show hall.  Claws MUST BE CLIPPED on all 4 feet.  All entries must be free of flea dirt, fleas or other parasites.  Cats should be clean.

LITTER:  Litter will be provided in the show hall.  Bring your own litter pan.

PARKING:  Free parking on the grounds.  Keep vehicles locked at all times.  The Motels, Masonic Center and the clubs will not accept responsibility for theft or damage.

PERSONAL BENCHING CAGES:  A fee of $26.00 will be charged for a PBC that takes up more than one (1) 36" cage space.

SHOW HOURS:  Saturday:  Judging from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  Sunday:  Judging from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Entries MUST remain in the show hall until posted closing time or permission to leave is granted by Show Manager.

SHOW RULES:  By the act of entering the show, each exhibitor agrees to abide by the show rules of TICA as well as the decisions of the Show Committee.

SMOKING:  We regret any inconvenience, but the interior of the Masonic Center is a NO SMOKING zone.  Ashtrays will be placed outside the back door for smokers' convenience.

STEWARDS:  Stewards will be paid $15.00 plus lunch.
